About Uru

At Uru Custom Instruments, we strive to bridge the gap between rooted soundscapes and the contemporary world. Our passion lies in reimagining unique sounds that have evolved alongside cultural heritage, breathing new life into them while preserving their authentic qualities to captivate today’s audiences. We believe in the profound connection between instruments and their cultural and geographical contexts, aiming to celebrate this relationship through our work.

Our approach encompasses researching, documenting, and exhibiting historical sounds that showcase the rich tapestry of cultural narratives. By redesigning and integrating these sounds into the modern music scene, we not only honor their origins but also create new avenues for artistic expression. We are committed to creating a supportive ecosystem that includes educational modules and workshops tailored to train the next generation of musicians and enthusiasts, while simultaneously raising awareness among the general public about the significance of these traditional instruments and sounds.

Through our commitment to education, innovation, and cultural preservation, we are dedicated to making our mission accessible to the public. We invite everyone to experience the richness of our heritage through our instruments, music, and educational workshops, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art forms that connect us to our roots.
